The diesel price development in June 2023 showed opposing trends at gas stations and the price index relevant to the logistics industry for wholesale consumers.

While the average price per liter of diesel at gas stations was €1.57, representing a decrease of 5 cents or 3.09% compared to the previous month, wholesale consumers experienced a – albeit moderate – price increase of 1.22%. According to the Federal Statistical Office, €122.70 was the price for a hectoliter of diesel compared to €121.22 in May.

Thus, the current wholesale consumer prices remained significantly below the level of the previous year (€170.91/100l).
