Diesel fuel price development: Minor increase in prices in July, right at the beginning of the holiday season.

Almost as expected, diesel prices increased in July 2023 compared to the previous month, June. Both wholesale consumers experienced a price hike of 2.98%, and end consumers at gas stations faced a 3.14% increase.

According to the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) and the Federal Cartel Office, the prices per liter of diesel fuel were €1.26 for wholesale consumers (€1.23 in the previous month) and €1.64 for end consumers at public gas stations.

The current wholesale prices remained significantly below the level of the previous year (€1.59 per liter).
