Large consumers already faced an increase of around 8% in diesel fuel prices in August compared to the previous month. In September, they experienced an additional 7% cost for a liter of diesel at gas stations and for delivery to large consumers compared to August. The prices are now back to the level of the year-end 22/23 after a temporary recovery.
According to the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) and the Federal Cartel Office, the prices per liter of diesel fuel were €1.47 for large consumers (€1.37 in the previous month) and €1.78 for end consumers at public gas stations.
However, large consumer prices still remain significantly below the level of the previous year (€1.64 per liter).
